Deployment

Eric left for a 7 month (ish) deployment today. This one will be different than the last one. This time I'm working and going to school with my family in Michigan. We will survive like we have every other underway and time apart. Unfortunately at this point, this won't be our last deployment. As of today, he will be transferring next May to one of the Frigates out of Everett which guarantees him another 4-6 month deployment with the new ship :(
Goals for this deployment:
Pay off the truck
Email Eric lots

I love you Eric!

Sailboat

Here's Eric's new pride and glory, 1974 Venture Sailboat

mokercycle

My first motorcycle, Yamaha DT 125A, its more of a dirt bike but its street legal and doesn't look like a dirt bike too much. But for $900, how can I complain? I need to do some tinkering and will want to replace the starter in the long run, but I'm in love. We are currently using the kickstart to run it, but it'd be nice to have a push on button too. We took it to our cousin Jeff and Shelli's this weekend and he got the throttle fixed. He is going to make sure that its 100% for me and hopefully its good to go when we bring it home this week so I can take it to my safety course on the 14th. I am excited to learn and enjoy my little toy.

Train Museum

We also happened to stumble across a train graveyard, called museum.

Snoqualmie Falls

We went to Snoqualmie Falls last Friday. Did you know it is 100 ft taller than the famous Niagra Falls?

Eric's Leave

'

Eric and I have been doing a few activities while he's on leave. We went to Shelli's this weekend and Jeff took us fishing. It was originally going to be just boys but they invited me and Im not about to turn down time with my boy!

Mom's visit next month

So Eric leaves for deployment in a few weeks (BOO HISS BOO)
and 10 days after he leaves, my mommy comes to town! (YAY)

I've been thinking of a few special things to do with her beyond our normal stuff.

The stuff we always do:
*watch HGTV
*watch movies
*go to movies
*eat at Panera Bread
*work on sewing projects
*wander craft malls
*wander stores like Walmart, Target, Kohls etc (we like to enjoy and make wish lists)

The stuff that's already been decided we will do:
~see cousin Shelli and family
~go antique(ing) (I wonder if this falls under the wander craft malls bit?!?)
~eat breakfast out

Some things I think we should do:
#Space Needle
#Snoqualmie Falls
#CASINO (just to say that we did it, together)

Other Options
%whale watching
%music in the parks
%hydroplane race and show Aug 7-8
%flying heritage museum
%Pacific Science Center

Ok, realistically, some of these activities aren't even for us, but hey, we need to have a few activities inbetween my work those 4 WEEKS I get my mom ALL TO MYSELF

(And of course, there will be lots of emails between Eric and I during that time, and I will miss him lots, but I will enjoy my mom as much as I miss him)

Happy April Fools Day

I guess I should update.

I finished my Winter quarter of school with an A in Math, B+ in Chemistry and English.

I just started Spring quarter, I am taking Organic Chemistry, Cellular Biology, and College Algebra.

I have 2 Phlebotomy job interviews on Friday. I started working at the Mukilteo YMCA this last month.

Eric's schedule is crazy busy, he's been gone since March 16th and we are unsure when he will return.

We also moved from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom apartment in the same complex this last month. It is nice to have extra space.

That's all for now

Sasha turned 1 on February 8th and I made cupcakes and made Sasha sit for us to sing happy birthday to her!

Cats

My cats are spoiled rotten! When we got our couch today (and I finally let the out of the bedroom) they had to inspect the new couch. Was putting a box together for my dad and brother and Sasha is sitting on the box the minute I step away from it. Was putting a box together for Amandine and Thierry, and again, Maggie is in the box (there was already clothes in it) and Sasha had to sit in the boot box. Now to get pictures of us attacking them with the nerf guns! We have over 100 darts that we will shoot at them all at once!

New Furniture

We've been in Everett for 15 months and we finally got livingroom furniture. Before this, we had a Walmart futon. Now this place is comfy, cozy, and so much better!

Day in Seattle

I went to Seattle today with two gal friends. Chelsey took us to some of the touristy spots for us to say we've been there. Saw the troll under the bridge, and yes, I picked his nose, shook hands with Lenin who came before Stalin and is the father of modern communism, rode a pig, added my gum to the gum wall (no I did not likc it), walked thru pike place and saw them throwing fish, then stuffed ourselves at red robin (I had to call Rachel to know what to order, I hate menus)
Eric stayed home playing his video games as it was girls day.
